JANNE MEIJER is a London-based artist and ceramIcist, and a recent graduate from BA Fine Art at Central Saint Martins (2025). Her functional work centres on process, texture and form, focusing on making quiet, tactile and considered pieces for everyday use.

Based in a shared studio in North London, she produces small-batch, handmade wares in stoneware and porcelain. Each piece is thrown by her on the wheel before being refined and finished.

Techniques such as marbling and slip decoration reveal the making process and highlight the natural qualities of the material. Her work is characterised by refined, often angular forms balanced with fluid, organic patterning, with areas left unglazed to enhance the tactile contrast between raw clay and glazed surfaces.
