Vicky & Chrissie

I’ve spoken before of the talent and creativity of my fellow students at St Martins College of Art in the 80’s. Vicky is another of my peers to make her career in London as a successful designer. Her work was always memorable and she has designed for many well known products and companies.

Vicky went on to establish Harrington & Squires designers and letterpress printers with Chrissie Charlton, a long term friend of many of our contemporaries and occasional tutor at St Martins, and they run their small but perfectly formed shop in Tufnell Park. Their clever, amusing and carefully crafted designs have been selected for exhibitions and their excellent letterpress workshops are a joy to attend. Their ideas are truly inventive, such as the clever Shopping Magnets for noting down things you may need in your next trip to the supermarket and the beautiful Love Letter card with it’s own seal for those very special missives to loved ones.

There were some amazingly talented people in my year at St Martins and I’m delighted to still be working with them after so many years.
